NAPLES, Fla. (Feb. 13, 2014) – Wegman Design Group has been awarded a citation of merit in the 18th annual design showcase hosted by Environments for Aging magazine. Each year the magazine honors the top architectural and interior design projects that reflect the best in housing for senior citizens, cost-effective design solutions and the future of senior living. Wegman Design Group received the award for their work on the Moorings Park Center for Healthy Living.
“We are honored that our project has impacted our local community in such a positive way,” said Lori Wegman, principal, ASID, IIDA. “Moorings Park is at the forefront of promoting health and wellness for senior living, and we are proud to express their vision through functional and aesthetic design strategies.”
Wegman Design Group submitted their project for review by a panel of 22 judges. The project was reviewed a second time at a two-day panel discussion. Of 43 projects awarded, only two were selected for a citation of merit. Wegman Design Group will be featured in an article in an upcoming issue of Environments for Aging magazine.
